Lingotek launches collaborative translation platform

Lingotek Inc., the translation services company based in Utah, US has developed a collaborative translation platform and integrated it with Jive, Oracle content management and Drupal to aid in translation of social web content. The new app uses ‘crowd sourcing’ allowing online communities who volunteer to translate the content.

The Lingotek platform already has found takers in Adobe group to translate the content of its support forum. The platform helps online communities to improve upon machine translation output by tools like Google Translate, Microsoft’s Bing etc. by providing them with collaborative tools as well as translation memory of earlier content. The company plans to expand its footprint to more content management platforms and is working on Microsoft’s SharePoint integration.  For more information please visit http://www.informationweek.com/thebrainyard/news/content_management_systems/231000750/lingotek-brings-translation-to-social-and-vice-versa
