LinGoLink translation tool to help soldiers in war zone

Lockheed Martin has developed a special smartphone that can help soldiers posted on the war front with translation in real time. A proprietary network connects the soldier and the native speaker to a local call centre for a three way conversation. This solution provides an alternative to physically posting translators along with soldiers on the front lines.

LinGoLink users however would miss any visual cues that a face to face conversation may provide. Also the cost of operating LinGoLink would not be less as the call center will be located in the area of operation.
