Handwriting recognition feature added to Google Translate

Google Translate, the popular translation app from Google has been updated with handwriting recognition feature. At present it can recognize handwriting in 7 languages viz. English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. This is in addition to voice and text recognizing features already available with Google Translate.

The new app would be welcomed by those who find it difficult to input test using the small keypad found in most smartphones. The new app is expected to be improved further in quality like most other new apps. Google has not announced what new languages would be added to the app going forward.
