François Truffaut’s “The Films in My Life” now in Arabic

The Films in My Life, (originally Les Films de ma vie) a book by noted French author, director and film critic François Truffaut has been translated into Arabic by Al Saeed Butagen as part of the Kalima project, sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH). François Truffaut (1932-1984) is famous for his film works like “The Last Metro”, “The Bride wore Black”, “American Night” etc. and books like “Hitchcock”, “Ramsay” etc. He was known for his extensive knowledge of film making, accuracy in evaluation, and exceptional courage.

Al Saeed Butagen is an Algerian university professor who has translated many books like “Live Your Day Before Your Night” by Hamid Ghreen, “The Last Impression” by Malik Haddad, “Star” by Kateb Yacine etc. For more information please visit
