Basis Technology to assist US government in translating Arabic and Afghan names

The Highlight Language analysis Suite developed by Basis Technology Corp. headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts would be used by the US Defense Intelligence Agency for translating Arabic, Pashto and Dari names of people and places into English. The suite easily integrates with Microsoft Office software package.

Linguists working in government departments often find it difficult to search and analyze documents translated by different agencies due to variation in spelling of names. The language analysis suite would ensure consistency in spelling leading to comprehensive searches and minimizing errors. The transliteration assistant of the language suite also does reverse translation of Arabic, Dari and Pashto names from English. For more information please visit
