Real time translation of Web videos

Ortsbo a Canadian startup company has released its Live & Global platform at CES 2012 in Las Vegas. This new product can do real time translation of videos in 53 languages including Spanish, French, Yiddish, Chinese, Arabic and Hebrew. One of the principal markets for the product is real time closed captioning of international corporate events.

In a demo at the conference the application translated online chat with participants from 92 countries. Its potential application includes translating Google’s YouTube videos and Skype conversations. Ortsbo has created several desktop and smartphone based instantaneous translation packages which form bulk of its revenues. Real time translator makes Guinness record

The real time social media language platform of Ortsbo that supports instant communication in various languages globally created a Guinness world record last week with users from 92 countries participating in an online chat simultaneously. The event was KISS Live and Global held in Beverly Hills, CA in which rock stars Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons participated.

The tool is available in various chat platforms of Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter etc usable from mobile computing devices as well as desktop PCs. Participants in the event submitted questions in 53 languages from 92 countries to the hosts. Ortsbo also announced the launch of an email plug-in for Microsoft Outlook named ‘O4O’ which can handle emails in 53 languages during the event.
